Hello and welcome to Park Street Books!

From the moment you approach the front door you will be greeted by the Park Street Books mascot “Booker T. Frog”. Booker T’s friendly smile welcomes you in the doors where you will discover aisle after aisle of children’s books and toys. We have over half a million new, used, and remaindered books in our inventory – everything from Captain Underpants to Harry Potter, and the rich world of children’s literature in between. We have nothing electronic or downloadable in the store, except for Brian the Robot bookseller (and even Brian is half human on his father’s side).

Our staff is friendly and helpful. They are mostly high school and college students who love to read and can suggest many good books. Jim, the owner, is a former teacher and he is very good looking.

We recently expanded the store and added many more toys. Our goal is to constantly upgrade our inventory so that each time you visit, you will find something new and interesting. Teachers can find many books at great prices for classroom libraries. If you have shopped the big box book stores, you will see that they beat us on everything except price, selection, and service.

“I went through once, I went through twice, then I went through again – I wanted to take in all the hard covers, soft covers, early readers, series books, and thousands of other titles that fill this well-organized and colorful store. – Theresa Knapp Exploring the Largest Children’s Bookstore in New England – Park Street Books

“After recently experiencing disappointment at a big box book store that had only one of nine books we were looking for in stock, we visited Park Street Books in hopes of a more successful time. Happily, Park Street Books had all nine books (gently used, as they say), with many coming in at only a dollar or two! – Eric H. Visiting An Amazing Children’s Bookstore

I hope your travels lead you to our doorstep. Booker T. Frog and the friendly Park Street Books staff look forward to giving you a sincere welcome.
